tl;dr

I love recruiting developers and building software teams. I’ve worked in both agency and product company environments.

I’m most experienced with recruiting for Ruby, PHP, JavaScript, and mobile developers, but I’ve hired for other engineering and engineering-adjacent roles, as well as other things.

I would prefer not to hire primarily for marketing or sales roles. I’m a technical recruiter, software engineers are my people.

I would be happy working either for an established product-based company or an established startup. I would prefer not to work for agencies or early-stage (>20 people) startups.

I care a lot about candidate experience. We ensure our candidates know where they’re at in the process at all times, we provide regular updates, and we are unfailingly kind – but we don’t shy away from tough conversations, either.

I care a lot about diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are stronger when we bring our whole selves to work, when we embrace and celebrate differences, and when we strive to treat everyone fairly and equitably. We actively work to increase the visibility and representation of traditionally under-represented groups.

I care a lot about the well-being and mental health of myself and those around me, and value life-work balance above everything else.

I can only work from Melbourne, Australia due to family commitments here. I am not interested in relocating at this time, but I’m happy to travel anywhere when needed.

I prefer to work from home and to have autonomy in regard to my schedule; if I’m needed in the office for some duties, I’d prefer to batch them up on particular days and work from home the rest of the week.
